Mehana Maka‘ina‘i handles the scheduling and accounting for Building Specs Hawai‘i.  She has an BA from the Center for Hawaiian Studies and an MBA from the Shidler College of Business at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.  Professionally she has experience working with both nonprofit and for-profit companies.  She has worked in grant development and management in collaboration with the university as well as worked as an independent contractor with various community organizations.  Mehana also hold a full time instructor position with the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.  

Mehana is from Kailua O’ahu and currently resides in Kāne’ohe.  She is a 2001 graduate of The Kamehameha Schools.  Mehana enjoys surfing and playing soccer and loves spending time at her ‘ohana’s lo’i.  She has four keiki with her husband Jesse, who help to keep everything exciting all the time.
